Life is a Collection of Moments

Life is built of a collection of moments both good and bad.
Your body is made up of a collection of meals both good and bad. 
How can we be good Stewart’s and build our bodies and lives? What if we actually started really living life by how would we like it to be rather than by default. 
Mindfulness is key. Paying attention to the little choices we are faced with all day long. For the most part we aren’t even aware of how much each tiny choice affects us. 

What time to get up, what to eat for breakfast, do I drink coffee, do I pray, meditate, exercise, am I working, feeding kids, doing housework, what do I feel, how does this make me feel, what am I focusing on?….The list goes on!

Change your thinking, change your life. Change your choices and create a life you actually WANT. Mindfulness changes everything. 

What is mindfulness? 

According to Psychology Today; 

  1. Mindfulness is a state of active, open attention on the present. When you’re mindful, you observe your thoughts and feelings from a distance, without judging them good or bad. Instead of letting your life pass you by, mindfulness means living in the moment and awakening to experience.

This may surprise you, but most of the time with my clients I care less about what they eat than what they think about. That is what truly feeds them. But then when I look at their food choices, I get fired up.  Bottom line is you can’t have one without the other. 

People for the most part have food obsessions these days, which looks more like fear of food. Food is a gift meant to be enjoyed!

We must pay attention to what goes in; both into the gates of your mind and the gate to your body called your mouth. 

Protect the temple of your body.

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, ~ 1 Corinthians 6:19 

Since the beginning of time people fasted and prayed. The act itself is not going to get you anywhere.  Starving does nothing and spewing out prayers becomes worthless unless you are practicing mindfulness and reverence. When there is a body, mind connection. Then change manifests.
