I have that covered for you. Here is a simple way to make your oats overnight so they are ready in the morning when you get up:
• 1/2 cup steel cut oats
• 1 1/2 cup water
- Put in a pot, bring to a boil, cover and shut off.
- Move to a cool burner and leave covered till morning.
- You can add chopped nuts, apples, or cranberries – basically whatever you like.
If you want the fruit or nuts softer add in the evening if you want crunch add in the morning before you reheat your oatmeal.
And if you want a little sweetness – top with a drizzle of real maple syrup
